About

With over half of Europe’s productivity growth being driven by Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) over the past 15 years, an ambitious Digital Agenda remains key to Europe’s economic growth. Digital discourse is an important component for the further development of humanity, thus, buy essay now in order to understand how this field develops and what impact it has on society.

But beyond the economic impact, digital technologies also play a vital role in improving people’s daily lives. They provide better access to information, enhance efficiencies and facilitate links between citizens, businesses and governments.

The Large-Scale Pilots (LSPs) have been developed by the European Commission in close cooperation with EU Member States, industry, national administrations and local communities. This collaborative process shall ensure that all Europeans benefit from Europe’s commitment to developing ICT and the Digital Single Market.

What’s more, this WebZine will be published quarterly to ensure you, our industry partners, are made aware of the LSPs ongoing progress as the road show moves through Europe.

Led by Vice-President Neelie Kroes, the Information Society & Media Directorate General (DG INFSO) of the European Commission serves as the initiator of the LSPs and other efforts to encourage European growth through ICT.

Enquires or further information on any of the projects outlined in this WebZine can be provided by contacting the European Commission, Directorate-General for Information Society & Media, ICT for Government & Public Services.
